Flight Control Computer (FCC)

Flight Control Computer (FCC)

Description

The flight control computer (FCC) is a component of an aircraft's avionics system that manages flight control surfaces (ailerons, elevators, rudder) and engine controls. It uses various sensors to collect data about the aircraft speed, level and attitude as well as pilot and autopilot control inputs.

The FCC exchanges data with the flight management computer (FMC), which is tasked with the overall management of the flight (the navigation and performance aspects).
