Maintenance which is not carried out during scheduled maintenance activity programmed as Checks under the Maintenance Programme. Typically, a precautionary aircraft component or system inspection might be required at set intervals of completed flight cycles and/or elapsed flight hours. Out of Phase Maintenance is controlled through the Aircraft Technical Log.
