The ACAS II implementation by the ECAC Member States was the fist widespread operational implementation of TCAS Version 7. The EMOTION 7 project was established to provide an appropriate framework to minimise the risks associated with potential TCAS II Version 7 operational, safety, and technical issues, particularly in the European airspace environment.
