On 10 February 2011, the crew of a Fairchild SA227 being operated by Spanish Company Flightline on a scheduled passenger flight from Belfast City, UK to Cork, Ireland sold exclusively by an Isle of Man Ticket Seller called Manx2 lost control of their aircraft whilst attempting to commence a third successive go around in fog after first continuing descent for 100 feet below the approach minimum height. The Investigation found that the contributory causes included serial non-compliance with operational and maintenance procedures and regulations and inadequate regulatory oversight of the operation and a series of generic Safety Recommendations were made.
