Edition 2.0 of the “Requirements for European Class 3 Medical Certification of Air Traffic Controllers (EUROCONTROL, 2006) has been produced with the objective of providing a set of harmonised, up-to-date medical requirements, specifically designed for Air Traffic Controllers (ATCOs), to be used uniformly across Europe. This document identifies consistencies and differences between the Class 3 Medical Assessment Requirements contained in International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annex 1 (2001) and the Requirements for European Class 3 Medical Certification of ATCOs. It is intended as supporting documentation for use by States who may wish to inform ICAO of any differences with ICAO Annex 1 provisions.
