The investigation of several safety occurrences has indicated the potential for a reduction of the number of runway incursions through the continuous operation of the stop bars.

This SIB contains recommendations to aerodrome operators, aerodrome ATC service providers, national competent authorities and EASA member states regarding the implementation of continuous use of stop bars.
