Furthermore weight and balance related incidents as reported by airlines are analysed for the period 1997-2004. Factual information, causal factors, and trends of weight and balance related accidents and incidents are analysed using the data sample. Finally the influence of technologies such as onboard weight and balance systems is discussed.
