Every person has experienced some form of stress in his or her life, but understanding exactly what stress is and how it affects an individual’s performance can be difficult. A situation that is stressful for one person may not be stressful for another. Sometimes stress can enhance performance, but many times it negatively affects how a flight crew member performs a task.
